You should listen to these snare… they’re actually some of the finest
    money will get ya.

Bought a Yamaha Musashi Oak snare about 2 months ago and let me tell you in
my opinion it sounds better than any of the snares shown in this vid. The
pork pie and the dw where the best here.

  3. jamsjr44

DW sounded the best in my opinion but how does Pearl, Sonor, Gretsch or
Yamaha not make this list? I understand it is all personal opinion. Didn’t
    care for the Craviotto…

  4. Dan Clark

Prefer the Tama Starphonic Brass 14×6 amazing snare drum and it roughly
$900, I got mine for £350 which is like $700 but it was on sale

Porkpie was amazing! DW sounds like shit in my opinion. The Ludwig is a
beautiful snare but it’s not my style. Ive never heard a dunnet before so i
was really impressed. In my opinion the porkpie sounds the best to me.
Probably just because it’s my style lol. It also reminds me of my Pearl
Masters MCX 6.5X14 All natural maple shell snare.

  6. Warren Wright

You forgot a snare drum that equals any in your list – : The Tama
Starclassic Bubinga Elite in either the 14 x 5.5 or the 14 x 6.5 version.
Mine is the Quilted Mocha Burst lacquer finish with the black nickel
hardware. It looks marvelous and honestly sounds as good as any snare you
    show in your video.

  7. Noah Rooney

I personally LOVE the DW’s crisp deep sounding Collector’s Edition.
Definitely something worth saving up for! I would save up for a nice Neil
    Peart VLT Time Machine Snare.

  8. waqqodonkey

hey Simone thanks for doing this! for 350 the PorkPie is nice
and that DW is a thing of beauty, but goddam the price!!!

  9. Miloš Đurić

    And where is Brady? C’mon…

  10. SticksNkicks

All have their place. The DW in this video is the most versatile IMO.

  11. Bryan David

What heads and dampening were used on the Pork Pie?

  12. Shane Schlick

Love that Pork Pie snare, can’t believe the price!

  13. Marco Rohon O'Halloran

loved it. I know nothing about drums but I do enjoy engineering and shaping
sounds in the studio. What a great selection

  14. OffTheRecordBandOTR

The Pork Pie sounds the best!!!! Natural and crisp! But there are plentyu
more out there that sound great, Black Panther by Mapex, Tama SLP snares,
    etc etc!

  15. Flexapr

Who was the drummer playing the #1 Craviotto? What chops or rudiments were
    those fast rolls? Thx.

  16. Martin Laporte

For 350$, the pork pie is the best value. It sounds too dry for my taste
    but
it has the same quality of all the others. DW’s Collector series at around
    600$
sound better than the expensive ones on this video.

  17. Adrian Brown

PorkPie is my favourite from here)so crisp and so nice sounding))

  18. Jacob Franz

You should learn some of the actual names of some of the product videos

  19. Kristian Chavez

I have a custom snare made out of staves in bubinga. Made by me, that sound
better tha any of the ones on the lis hahaha.

  20. Epic Drum Covers

What are the dimensions of the Pork Pie snare?

  21. tdrum21

How are the Gretsch maple snares? Been thinking of one of those for the
    woody sound.

  22. Tomáš Madleňák

    DW POWAAAAA

  23. William & Foxwood

Beautiful kit. Beautiful sounds. Beautiful cover. Great job dude. Another
video up that is just plain pleasant to watch. Thanks for posting bro.

    PS, those toms. Nice.

  24. Wheres Da Bomb

Pls do Ellie Goulding more <3

  25. Cornelius Witherspoon Jr.

    COVER BLEED BY MESHUGGAH!!

  26. COOP3RDRUMM3R

I’m scrolling down the comments and all I see is comment after comment
about the sound of the drums/mix. Now I understand that since they’re the
new drums and everything everyone will have an opinion and I personally
think it’d be cooler if they were a lot less produced, but COME ON, half
the comments totally ignore the incredible playing, and THAT is what it’s
all about. Luke is killin’ it! Keep doing your thing!

  27. Kenneth Coleman

That Drum World kit sounded heavy Duty, and the Human playing was good too.

  28. Phil Holes

Your kit sounds weird as all fuck

  29. Code RenniX

    many groove wow so ghost

  30. David Palleschi

    Gorgeous kit

  31. patrickkirkbymusic

    man….. the ghost notes :o

  32. Daniel Jerrehian

The mix has way too much compression, I know that is the sound for this
genre, and for a punchy mix, but there are no dynamics, your ghost notes
are fairly loud (due to the compression) even though you played fantastic.
I think when Cameron started mixing your covers, they were pumping too
much, and sound very fake.. I don’t really like it. A mix between this and
the old engineer is perfect! 🙂

  33. Extol Jesus

You should do a cover of “Enigma of Abode” by Disperse!
    Great cover as usual man!

  34. HintonDrumCovers

Holy fuck that is a deep snare! LOVE IT.

  35. VCameronV

Only thing I have to say about the mix is that Im not a fan of how the toms
have no sustain in them, little less compression and itll be perfect. Good
    cover though

  36. Gerard Vachon

    FOP

  37. Confewze

Awesome cover, I found TesseracT through Luke’s Nocturne video and I fell
in love. Also does anyone know what kind of Evans head he uses? Oh and
everyone complaining about the mix of the sound, use headphones, it sounds
    considerably better :)

  38. Luke the duke of funky town!

  39. RickSkylin3

OMG bro. Your timing has been perfected even more!
That kit is truly beautiful bro! keep on puttin’ in all that work!!!!

  40. Tricia Kaze

    This is so sexy.
